Imax Plans Move To Santa Monica

   Imax Corporation, the Toronto-based company that makes large projection/sound systems and the motion pictures that are shown on them, is planning to move both its Brentwood offices and Culver City post-production studios into a Santa Monica warehouse at 3301 Exposition Boulevard in Santa Monica. 
   In the Lantana complex near the Santa Monica-L.A. border, the structure was scheduled to be demolished by the Houston-based firm which recently bought Lantana to make way for an office building. 
   Imax has leased the building for 13 years and will renovate it. It will spend $45 million on the lease/renovation package and expects its new quarters to be completed within the year.
