Jacobs Engineering Group Signs Contract For $63 Million School Rehab Program

Jacobs Engineering Group announced last week that the Sverdrup division of its subsidiary, Jacobs Facilities, received a design and management contract from the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District for its $63 million renovation and expansion program.
Included in the program, encompassing all 18 of the Districts campuses, are classroom additions, sports and athletic field rehabs, modernization of infrastructures, auditorium renovations at both Malibu and Santa Monica High Schools and a new gymnasium at Malibu. It is anticipated that the work will be completed in 2001.
Sverdrup currently has more than $9.5 billion in school facilities completed or underway in 14 states and the District of Columbia.
