The Santa Monica Symphony performs Beethoven’s spectacular “Ninth Symphony,” with internationally acclaimed soloists and chorus singing the “Ode to Joy,” in celebration of the Symphony’s 70th anniversary this Sunday, Dec. 7.
It will be held at 7 pm in Barnum Hall on the campus of Santa Monica High School, 601 Pico Blvd.
An evening of inspiring music begins with Brahms’ masterful and fun “Academic Festival Overture” and concludes with Beethoven’s glorious and epic “Ninth Symphony.”
Celebrated soloists for the evening are Elissa Johnston, Soprano; Tracy Van Fleet, Mezzo soprano; Ashley Faatoalia, Tenor; and Cedric Berry, Baritone.
