A special meeting will be held this Saturday, Aug. 23 at 10am to discuss the proposals for the Bergamot Art Center prior to the City Council’s consideration of the same on Tuesday, Aug. 26.
The Arts Commission of the City of Santa Monica will host Saturday’s meeting from 10 am to 12 pm, which invites members of the public to attend and comment.
Staff from the City’s Housing and Economic Development Department, as well as the Cultural Affairs Division, will be in attendance to help answer questions about the multi-year community planning process leading to the RFP for developers and the overall guiding public policy objectives governing the site’s designation as a community cultural center.
The meeting will be held at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium East Wing, 1855 Main Street, Santa Monica.
