“Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas” Receives Worst Picture At 2015 Razzie Awards:

“Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas” took top honors if you can all it that by receiving the Worst Picture of 2014 at Saturday night’s 35th Golden Raspberry Awards, held at Hollywood’s Montalban Theatre.

The awards-show spoof skewers the worst of movies from the previous year.

The film won the dubious distinction over “Transformers: Age of Extinction, “Left Behind,” “The Legend of Hercules” and “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”

Cameron made it a double by also winning the Worst Actor commendation, outpacing Nicolas Cage for “Left Behind,” Kellan Lutz for “The Legend of Hercules,” Seth MacFarlane for “A Million Ways to Die in the West” frequent nominee Adam Sandler for “Blended.”

Cameron Diaz was dishonored as Worst Actress for her work in “The Other Woman” and “Sex Tape,” topping Sandler’s “Blended” co-star, Drew Barrymore, Charlize Theron for “A Million Ways to Die in the West,” Gaia Weiss for “The Legend of Hercules” and Melissa McCarthy for “Tammy.”

Diaz also had a nomination for Worst Supporting Actress for “Annie,” but she was underwhelmed by Megan Fox for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.” Brigitte Ridenour for “Saving Christmas,” Susan Sarandon for “Tammy” and Nicola Peltz for “Transformers” also were staunch worst supporting actress competitors.

Kelsey Grammer accomplished the Worst Supporting Actor for his body of work in “Transformers,” “Expendables 3,” “Legends of Oz” and “Think Like a Man Too,” edging out Mel Gibson and Arnold Schwarzenegger for “Expendables 3,” screen legend Shaquille O’Neal for “Blended” and Kiefer Sutherland for “Pompeii.”

Michael Bay grabbed worst director for “Transformers” beating back Darren Doane for “Saving Christmas,” Reeny Harlin for “The Legend of Hercules,” Jonathan Liebesman for “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” and MacFarlane for “A Million Ways to Die in the West.”

The Razzies included a new category this year, known as the Razzie Redeemer Award, acknowledging past Razzie winners who have gone on to far better projects. It was won by Ben Affleck (from Razzie winner for “Gigli” to Oscar darling for “Argo” and “Gone Girl”). Jennifer Aniston (from four-time Razzie nominee to SAG Award nominee for “Cake”); Mike Myers (from Razzie winner for “Love Guru” to docu director of “Supermensch”); Keanu Reeves (from six-time Razzie nominee to critically acclaimed “John Wick”); and Kristen Stewart (from Razzie winner for “Twilight” to the art house hit “Camp X-Ray”).
