Actress Lindsay Lohan was involved in a bad car accident on the Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica earlier today.
Lohan and an adult male walked away with just minor injuries after the Porsche they were traveling in was totaled in 1100 block of the PCH at about 11:42 a.m.
Santa Monica Police Department spokesman Sgt. Richard Lewis said the black Porsche slammed into the back of a dump track that was also traveling northbound on PCH.
Lewis said investigators are attempting to determine whether or not Lohan was the driver of the Porsche at the time of the collision.
“The driver of the dump truck was uninjured and was determined to not be impaired,” Lewis said. “The occupants of the black Porsche were determined to not be impaired and were transported to a local hospital for treatment of minor injuries.”
Celebrity news website TMZ reports that the Porsche was a rental and that Lohan did not want to go to the hospital by ambulance, although an ambulance was called to the scene.
Anyone with information regarding the collision is asked to contact Investigators Chris Dawson or Jason Olson at 310.458.8954 or the Santa Monica Police Department (24 hours) at 310.458.8495.
