A man was shot in an arm Saturday night in the Mid-City area of Los Angeles, police said.
Officers responded about 8:05 p.m. to a report of shots fired at the intersection of Vineyard Avenue and Lomita Street and found the victim, who is about 55 to 60 years old, said Sgt. Jeritt Severns of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Wilshire Station.
The man — struck near one of his shoulders — was taken to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center for treatment and was in stable condition, the sergeant said.
It was not immediately clear of the shooting was gang-related and no suspect information was available, Severn said.
Anyone with information about the shooting was urged to contact the Wilshire Station at (213) 473-0467.
