Want to serve on the Santa Monica City Council? Or maybe the Rent Control Board, Santa Monica College Board of Trustees, or Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District Board of Education?
The first step is to nominate for the Nov. 4 general election.
The Santa Monica City Clerk’s office has given official notice, announcing that the nomination period for these offices begins on July 14, 2014, and closes on August 8, 2014, at 5 pm.
However, if an incumbent whose term is up does not file to run again, the deadline for all candidates is extended five days – until Aug. 13.
