Mirror Staff

Pico Boulevard will be reduced to one lane each direction between Sawtelle and Sepulveda tonight from 9 p.m. until 6 a.m. Tuesday for the installation of k-rails and the restriping of lanes.
The contractor will only require one night to complete the work.
Three lanes, eastbound and westbound, will remain once k-rail and striping activities are complete.
Emergency vehicle access will be maintained and work is weather permitting and subject to change.

I got excited. I thought by k-rail you meant we were getting some type of light rail system.

IT'S ABOUT TIME!!!..... that stretch has been the worse for WAY too long!! Kudos for whoever got that taken care of... on another note, K-Rails should be called concrete barriers.

Well I suppose concrete barriers can also be rather exciting. I was ecstatic over those plastic divider things they placed at the northbound 101/405 interchange. People were all over the road before that.
