Pier Light Show Tonight to Conserve Energy:

As part of the “Conserve Energy SoCal” program, the iconic solar-powered Pacific Wheel at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier will host a special light show tonight.

 As the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel, the Pacific Wheel’s lights will display brilliant images and colors on Wednesday, August 17 and 31 and Wednesday, September 14 to remind everyone of the importance of conservation.

As the temperatures in Southern California remain exceptionally high and are expected to for the remainder of the summer, “Conserve Energy SoCal” is reminding everyone to conserve energy to avoid black outs in the weeks and months ahead. 

To make getting out of the house and away from the AC more fun, the Energy Providers of Southern California, as part of the “Conserve Energy SoCal” program have partnered with local businesses offering “Hot Days, Hot Deals” discounts on Wednesday’s now through the end of September.

New Hot Deals will be available every week. Here are a few of the current promotions:
