Save The Date: St. Monica To Present “JOB: The NOW Testament” Aug. 28:

St. Monica Catholic Community will present a special performance of “JOB: The Now Testament,” an original musical by John Angotti, at 8 pm in the church on Friday, Aug. 28.

Dogtown Dogs and The Lobos Truck will be on the St. Monica campus for dinner beginning at 5:30 pm.

The show will feature John Angotti, Anna Betancourt, Nathan Shrake, and St. Monica parishioner, Harrison Crenshaw, with Meredith Dean Agustin, Phoebe Crenshaw, Merrick McMahon, and 10 select voices from the student choir at St. Monica, Monica’s Joy.

Intended for an ecumenical audience of all ages, this musical addresses the question of “Why do bad things happen to good people” and has a relevant message in today’s world as it looks for answers in the most difficult circumstances of life.

This presentation is part of St. Monica’s Feast Day celebration, an annual event that is held each year to honor their patroness, Saint Monica.

Tickets for JOB are $15 general admission; $10 for seniors and children 12 and under, and are available online at www.stmonica.net/JOB through August 27 or in St. Monica’s Parish Office. Note: There will be a small service charge for tickets purchased with a debit/credit card. Tickets will also be available at the door for $20/$15.

John Angotti has been writing Christian music since his teen years at St. Joseph Seminary, where he was considering the priesthood. He left the seminary to pursue instead a life devoted to spreading the Gospel through word and song, taking a special interest in reaching today’s youth and stressing the importance of finding God in the everyday lived experiences.  His fulltime music ministry has taken him around the world. John Angotti Music Mission (JAMM) debuted JOB: The Now Testament in Memphis, Tennessee in the summer of 2013. Learn more at www.jobthenowtestament.com.
