Whether it’s snorkeling, swimming, surfing, paddle boarding, playing volleyball, or exploring the tide pools, the area’s nearly eight miles of coastline offers activities for every mood.

Laguna Beach also offers a variety of festivals and happenings including a monthly Art Walk, highly anticipated Festival of Arts and Pageant of the Masters, and the Sawdust Arts Festival.

Twenty-thousand acres of wilderness attack hikers, bicyclists, bird watchers and plein air painters to the verdant hills, dramatic cliffs and majestic canyons.

Laguna Beach House

Perched above Laguna Beach’s picturesque coastline sits a new Southern California retreat, the Laguna Beach House. The boutique hotel debuted on April 1 last year after a $1.5 million renovation, which included revitalizing all 36 guest rooms and public spaces, as well as the lobby, an expanded pool deck, and brand new meeting space.

The hotel is steps from the shops, restaurants, and art galleries of downtown Laguna Beach, as well as Main Beach, one of Southern California’s most celebrated and historic beaches.

Upon arrival, guests are immediately immersed into the Southern California surf culture. Chic coastal décor and vintage furniture create the look and feel of an open, airy beach cottage with a palette of natural, warm colors with vibrant pops.

Oceanic scenes are depicted in the design and the artwork, and surf, skate, and sand accents are spread throughout the property.

The expanded pool area features comfortable, casual lounge furniture and a fire pit, making it a perfect place to relax under the sun or stars in Laguna’s beautiful year-round weather.

The new, enlarged lobby acts as a gathering area for guests to mingle during nightly wine hours with General Manager Rachel Tejeda.

Visitors can also pop in each morning for the daily surf report, displayed on a chalkboard.

Laguna Beach House guest rooms are designed to reflect the laidback California vibe with beach accents abound.

Twenty accommodations feature private balconies with garden tables, chairs, and coastal views. All rooms feature a flat screen television, Wi-Fi access, and king or double queen beds.

Succulents, vintage surf books, small handcrafted instruments, canvas totes and coastal-inspired accessories are displayed throughout the guestrooms. Custom-made surfboards hang over the beds. If guests want to hit the waves, they can also opt to buy a surfboard on-site.

The hotel commissioned a custom-designed Laguna Beach destination poster reminiscent of vintage travel posters, which will go in each guest room. T-shirts and posters of the limited edition artwork are also available for sale. Vintage 1970’s era Gordon & Smith skateboards serve as towel racks in all bathrooms, which have been fully remodeled.

Laguna Beach House offers several dining choices including complimentary morning coffee, a nightly wine hour at sunset, and milk and cookies before bedtime.
