Wellbeing Buy Local Festival: A Free Day Of Family Fun:

The Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Santa Monica’s Buy Local present the Wellbeing Buy Local Festival this Saturday, Sept 12 at the Civic Center Parking lot from 11 am to 4 pm.

This free event brings together local businesses, services, and non-profits for a fun filled day while raising awareness about the economic and community benefits of thinking local first and making healthy choices.

Enjoy food trucks, pop-up shops, 95 exhibitors, lots of give-a-ways, and meet your neighbors.

Check out interactive classes on the two stages including dance, karate, fitness, and brain health as well as a unique fashion show and live music.

Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows presents top local chefs creating healthy dishes with the help of the audience.

At Cirque du Soleil’s #Kurios Zone attendees can create a stop-motion video.

All day activities include mural painting, yoga, and meditation classes for all ages, and experience an earthquake in the Red Cross Shakey Quakey house.

Visit interactive booths from Providence St. John’s health Center, Kaiser Permenente and Whole Life Balance where you can get health screenings and talk one on one with their staff.

Take photos with UCLA Health’s Therapy dogs and win prizes at the bike riding skills course and when you collect all of the Wellbeing Index Project cards.
