CalRecycle hosts on Saturday a public education campaign event to inform drivers of how to re-evaluate their oil change habits. The “Check Your Number” event will be held at the West Parking lot behind the Carousel on the Santa Monica Pier from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday. The event aims to educate drivers on the different oil change needs and help drivers potentially save money on routine automobile maintenance. Free parking is provided to the first 140 drivers who agree to check his or her automobile’s recommended oil change interval and display that number on a windshield poster.
