Mirror Staff

Colon Terrell, a heart attack survivor from Raleigh, NC, will end his 3,000-mile walk across America at the Santa Monica Pier today, Sept. 2, which happens to be his 45th wedding anniversary with wife Brenda.

Terrell arrived in Los Angeles this week and walked through the San Gabriel Valley area to Glendale, Hollywood, and Beverly Hills.

From Beverly Hills, Terrell will walk to Santa Monica and reach his final destination at the Santa Monica Pier at noon.

Terrell’s Heart Trek across America, which began March 1 at the Cape Hatteras Light House in Buxton, NC, aims to raise heart disease awareness and funds to support the American Heart Association’s mission of building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke.

He has so far raised more than $17,000.

As a heart attack survivor myself (11/16/11) I congratulate you on your endeavor. What a great way to bring attention to something that so many take for granted each day. Life itself. And Santa Monica and the pier. What a great place to complete your journey.

Terrell, thanks for Stepping Out after your heart attack and fighting back against heart disease and stroke by making this trek.. Actions speak so much louder than words. Your 3000 mile walk says "Take Wellness To Heart". Let's all step out as a team against heart disease and stroke. When I was an infant, I too had a heart problem. This experience drew me to a career in Cardio-Pulmonary medicine working as a Cath Lab technologist. I will be walking with my "Cater To Your Heart" team in the San Diego Heart Walk this Sept. 15th. If you're in the area I would love to meet you. Congratulations on the achievement and Happy Anniversary to you and your wife, Brenda!

NIce story but consider this. The book titled: The Cure For Heart Disease (and Cancer Too) By Stephen Harte, a 604 page 61 chapter long book, shows the many real peer reviewed scientific studies done in the US, Germany, and throughout the world, proving wonderful benefits of quality forms of pyruvate can have on even those who have had the worst of heart attacks and heart disease. The author was able to therapy back his own heart after having a near fatal heart attack at age 50, followed by 5 years of near death heart failure. It took him 9 months to do this. He copied off of Pax Beale, who in his late 50's barely survived 4 years of heart failure after a botched and failed heart bypass operation. Pax not only completely healed his own heart using quality German Creatine pyruvate (not calcium pyruvate) but went on to become a world and US national bodybuilding champion for those over 50. Pax continued to dominate the sport as a competitor until age 77. Pax still weight trains now at age 83. These true stories are outlined in the book available at Amazon Kindle for either free or $2.99. Available in US, Canada, Europe (translated in some languages), even India, Japan, the far east. Kindle has free App download that makes any PC, ipad or any device, even better than a Kindle reader. The book will amaze even cardiologists that Pyruvate (primarily found in simple apples) can do so much, even against cancer. Last year Lance Armstrong and his foundation spent millions proving forms of pyruvate supplemented even stop cancer too. Hence the book name. Nobody needs to die from a heart disease, when pyruvate forms are available along with certain forms of correct light weight training as opposed to mindless aerobic exercise. The book explains how the Author, Pax Beale and others were quite successful, no thanks to top doctors, stents, heart drugs, beta blockers, and even stem cell surgery, all of which were useless, as they were previously near death.
