Santa Monica's Oscar Wilde Awards a Hit

Santa Monica was home to its very own Oscar award ceremony, the Oscar Wilde Awards. Held Friday at Bad Robot, awards saw a cast of well-known faces and rising stars attend.

Critics Choice Awards Land Success in Santa Monica

Leaving its former home in Hollywood, the Critics Choice Awards followed the lead of the Spirit Awards and landed its 21st annual edition at Santa Monica Airport’s famed Barker Hanger last Sunday, the “blue” carpet” began at 3pm.

Santa Monica's Barker Hangar will host the 21st annual Critics' Choice Awards Sunday, with comedian, actress and writer Amy Schumer and George Lucas' special-effects house Industrial Light & Magic honored during the event.

The 2016 Golden Globe Awards will be held Sunday, Jan. 10.

Academy's Seventh Annual Governors Awards Ceremony Tonight

Actor/writer/director Spike Lee and actress Gena Rowlands will receive honorary awards from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences tonight, while actress/dancer Debbie Reynolds will receive the organization's coveted Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.

The Independent Spirit Awards will host its show under a tent in the parking lot directly north of Santa Monica Pier in 2016.
