UCLA's Dave Meyers, USC's Alex Hannum Selected For Pac-12 Men's Basketball Hall of Honor

Dave Meyers, a starting forward on UCLA's 1975 NCAA championship team, and the late Alex Hannum, the most valuable player on USC's 1947-48 team, were among the 12-member 2015 Pac-12 Men's Basketball Hall of Honor announced today.

Los Angeles Clippers Coach Doc Rivers has been namedas the 2014 Coach of the Year for the Los Angeles region.

Hopes for Santa Monica High to repeat as CIF boys basketball champs were abruptly dashed by a visiting Rancho Cucamonga team on Tuesday, Feb. 25. Rancho Cucamonga took the lead in all four quarters to roll to a 74-56 CIF-SS Division 1AA win against Samohi.

Crossroads' Alexander Miles plays up close defense against a Windward player. Miles had nine points in the Roadrunners' 60-52 defeat to Windward.

The Crossroads boys basketball team had a good run this season. But that season is now officially over. The Roadrunners went through a tough shooting stretch in the third quarter and that proved to be the team's detriment in a 60-52 CIF-SS Division 4A quarterfinal loss to Windward at home on Tuesday night.

The Crossroads boys's basketball team has won its first two playoff games after defeating Providence and Sage Hill.

Samohi senior Matt Tapia made a bit of school history when he tossed in a “buzzer beater” basket in the final second’s of the Vikings' 76-45 first round playoff win against Montebello. In the last five minutes of the game, a roar came up from the stands as the student body loudly chanted: “ We Want Matt, We Want Matt.”
