Samohi Girls Basketball On The Right Track

The Santa Monica High School's girls basketball team continued its hot play with a 58-36 win against Price in a Jan. 9 home game.

Archer's Ciena Lennon meets Marshall's Aimee Cuellar at the net to move the Panthers to within one at 11-10 during the second set Tuesday night at Santa Monica College.  Archer would go on to win the set 29-27.

Archer Volleyball Handles Marshall With 3-0 Win

It was the second set in the Archer (9-3) versus Marshall High School (5-10) girls volleyball game Tuesday night, and the Eagles were up a point 27-26. Archer outside hitter Maia Barnett had switched positions and was now a middle blocker stepping up in the right place at the right time with a massive block to stop a kill by Marshall's Sarah Eguchi to tie the game at 27-27.

New Roads Advances To 4-0 In Coastal League With Volleyball Win Over Saints

New Roads (6-2) beat Lighthouse Christian (3-9) in four highly competitive volleyball sets where the Saints won the first set 26-24 before the Jaguars responded in the next three sets 25-23, 25-23, and 25-17 to win the game Thursday afternoon at Penmar Park.

Pacifica Christian Seawolves Volleyball Extend Hammer To Connelly Winning 3-0

Pacifica Christian (8-0) made short work of Connelly (9-5) in a non-conference match winning three straight sets 25-11, 25-6, and 26-24 with the only scare for the Seawolves coming during set three when the Koalas held their first sustained lead only to be soundly beaten in the end 3-0 at Culver City High School Saturday night.

Crossroads Women's Volleyball (3-7) is in a slump with the Roadrunners losing to the Windward Wildcats (6-3) in three straight sets 25-7, 25-5, 25-16 while playing away at Windward Thursday.
