A boy and girl were airlifted from a cliff above Tapia Park in Malibu today after they suffered non-life-threatening injuries while hiking with a camp group.

A Washington D.C. based environmental advocacy group, who is working with the local group Malibu Unites, alleges the SMMUSD is failing to take the most conservative steps regarding environmental questions at Malibu schools.

One of the major roads out of Malibu will be closed today as the city repaves it. Northbound Kanan-Dume Road will be closed at Pacific Coast Highway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, weather permitting, as the realigned lane is repaved.

A crash shut down both both eastbound lanes of Pacific Coast Highway at Topanga Canyon Boulevard on Friday, according to the City of Malibu Emergency Services. The crash, a two-car collision, was reported at about 4:15 p.m., according to Sgt. Shawn Ruda of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Malibu/Lost Hills Station. An emergency services message warned motorists to expect major delays leaving Malibu.
