Area professionals, caregivers, and volunteers who make a difference in the lives of Southland seniors will be honored by Santa Monica-based WISE & Healthy Aging at its annual Celebration of Caring event, announced Grace Cheng Braun, President and CEO.

A piece of play equipment called Glacier that the City plans to purchase for Ozone Park with a $50,000 Kiwanis donation. The donation and play equipment selection are not considered final until approved by City Council at their April 28 meeting.

Meet Me Under The Fig Tree Helps OPCC, Olympic High

The Santa Monica community generously came together on Sunday, Dec. 14, to donate about 8,500 pounds of non-perishable food during Meet Me Under the Fig Tree, a free annual event hosted by Fairmont Miramar Hotel & Bungalows and MSD Capital.

Nat Trives, known as Mr. Santa Monica, held his 80th birthday at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier earlier this month, which has so far raised $83,000 for 30 non-profits he supports.
