Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier joins Earth Hour in its “Use Your Power To Change Climate Change” mantra with a one-hour, “lights-off” on the world-famous Pacific Wheel Ferris wheel, except for the wheel rim safety lighting, at 8:30 pm this Saturday, March 28. The Pacific Wheel is the world’s only solar-powered Ferris wheel.

In lieu of the Halloween season, Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium is incorporating a number of spooky themes into its family-friendly activities this weekend. This Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 25 and 26, starting at 12:30 pm, the Pier Aquarium will be hosting a “fintastic” Halloween and Dia de Los Muertos celebration, with costume wear encouraged.
