With the toe-tapping 1920s music of Richard Halpern and his band filling the air of the Fairmont Miramar Hotel’s luscious outdoor setting, smiling guests arrived attired in their finest vintage clothing last Friday night – women in wonderful flapper dresses wearing hats or bejeweled head bands and men in their afternoon tuxedoes.

AMC Criterion 6 Goes Dark On Third Street Promenade

For almost 90 years, a movie theater occupied this space on the Third Street Promenade, almost directly across from a seven-screen theater on the corner of Third Street and Arizona Avenue. Originally built in 1924 and rebuilt in 1983, the AMC Criterion 6 has officially screened its last film.
