Santa Monica Travel & Tourism traveled to the United Kingdom Oct. 31 – Nov. 5, 2015 to exhibit at the 2015 World Travel Market (WTM) in partnership with Visit California. Over the six days SMTT conducted meetings with key media and trade partners.

The Anaheim City Council announced today that it has voted to extend a nearly 20-year-old tax exemption scheme benefiting Walt Disney Parks and Resorts for another 30 years -- with the possibility of 15 more after that -- in exchange for a commitment to make a $1 billion investment in its Anaheim Resort operations.

The Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau this week released its latest tourism update with spring visitor statistics. The SMCVB said typical spring visitor groups were 58 percent international in origin (from 54 percent in spring 2013), while 43 percent (versus 46 percent) were from the United States (excluding California), and Californians comprised 14 percent (12 percent in 2013).
