Restaurant Goers At Don Antonio's Claim They Were Salmonella Poisoned

Two patrons of a Los Angeles restaurant billed on its website as serving the best Mexican food in Los Angeles are suing the eatery because they allegedly contracted salmonella poisoning after dining there in March.

Willie, a homeless Vietnam war veteran, lived outside the West Los Angeles VA last summer, when this picture was taken, though he has not been seen in the area for some months now.  An 1888 deed to provide a home for veterans initially established the property, which is today the largest VA campus in the country.  Some are challenging non-veteran-related uses of the land when Los Angeles County is the veteran homeless capital of America.

Federal Government To Settle VA West Los Angeles Misuse Lawsuit

The federal government has agreed to settle a lawsuit in which the ACLU accused the Department of Veterans Affairs of misusing its sprawling West Los Angeles health campus while veterans with brain injuries and mental impairment slept in the streets, it was reported today.

Three Gun Shot Victims Hospitalized After Shooting At Venice Blvd./Bagley Ave.

A shooting in Palms left three people injured, one in serious condition, police said today. All three victims are hospitalized, authorities said.

Authorities Identify Motorcyclist Killed On Bundy Drive In West LA Wednesday

The Los Angeles County Coroner’s office has identified the motorist killed on S. Bundy Drive in West Los Angeles on Wednesday as 35-year-old Brandon Garrett, of Sherman Oaks.
