Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel is now offering complimentary wireless internet access in every guest room.

The initiative was rolled out Jan. 22 at each of Loews Hotels' 18 properties throughout North America.

Loews Hotels & Resorts President & CEO Paul Whetsell said the company was delighted to offer free Wi-Fi to its guests.

“Prompt, reliable Internet access has become a necessary and expected hotel amenity," Whetsell said.

Guests will be able to connect three devices per room at 512KB. Guests who need faster connectivity or more devices can upgrade to Premium Plus for $19.95 per day for up to 8 devices.

Loews Santa Monica Beach Hotel is located at 1700 Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica.

Paul Whetshell should be delighted anyone stays at his stupid hotels. 512K is slower than free internet at McDonald's and then they want to charge you for adding more devices? That's not really free. I'll bet this hotel charges for toilet paper! The clueless elite LMAO.

I'f I were Paul Whetsell, I would have paid you to NOT publish this article. First, who would have thought they didn't already offer the service at no charge. But to boast of 512k for three devices and a surcharge for more, is astoundingly dumb.

Funny he talks about reliable and prompt internet being an expected hotel amenity, then goes on to mention the internet is only 512KB (not prompt). Then as guests can attest, their internet has never been that reliable. I'd suggest elsewhere nearby that does deliver on the promise of prompt and reliable internet and also doesn't charge for things like gym access.
