Officers responded to a report of a dispute between a street vendor selling hot dogs and a pedestrian that escalated into a battery.
A 19-year-old woman was arrested in the beating of a street vendor in downtown Los Angeles, police announced Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department Central Area detectives took Harmunie Heaven Church into custody on June 25 near downtown, according to authorities.
The incident occurred around 4:15 p.m. on June 15 in the 700 block of South Figueroa Street. Officers responded to a report of a dispute between a street vendor selling hot dogs and a pedestrian that escalated into a battery, police said.
Church was booked on suspicion of felony battery causing great bodily injury. She was being held on $50,000 bail. Her case will be presented to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office for filing consideration.
