Crossroads Loses Twice, Then Has Easy Victory:

Although the Crossroads baseball team didn’t hold a lead in its first two games, the Roadrunners looked like a quality squad in the third one.

Crossroads lost to Windward 7-1 and Viewpoint 11-0 before defeating Community Harvest Charter of Los Angeles 10-0 Thursday in a non-league game at Clover Park.

Crossroads scored four runs in the first inning, four more in the second and one more in the third before both coaches brought in reserves.

Avery Irvin pitched well for Crossroads and earned the victory for Coach Matt Amido’s team.

The visitors were shaky defensively and Crossroads exploited the weakness with aggressive base-running. The longest blow was a double to deep centerfield by Designated Hitter Alex Thompson.
