Approximately eight hundred seniors will graduate from Santa Monica High School tomorrow.
The graduation exercises will be held in the Greek Theater on the Samohi campus at 5:30 p.m.
The valedictorian will be chosen tomorrow from one of 13 candidates: Sarah Abedi, Jasmine Ahdout, Julianne Ahdout, Brittany Benjamin, Monica Rose Cowan, Danielle Jasine Farzam, Laura Michelle Frischer, Samantha Johnston, Andrea Li, Douglas Ryan Matsunaga, Alanna Nass, Stephanie Ann Thorton and Ava Rose Tramer.
According to Samohi Dean Catherine Baxter, seniors fill out a final survey that includes questions on what they will do after high school. So far “only 65% of the class have their final survey” and out of that number “529 will be continuing their education.”
This year’s class size is about the same as last year.
