The Ruskin Group Theatre has extended the run of Beyond Therapy, Christopher Durang’s hilarious classic, to July 30.
A new cast took over June 17. Now appearing are Matt Barron, Rebecca Crandall, callalilly finglas, Ryan Keiffner, Aaron Michael Lodge, and Tim Murphy.
Beyond Therapy tells the story of Bruce and Prudence, whose chance for romance is complicated by their wacko therapists.
The production was originally slated to run through June 25. Performances are at 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays and 5 p.m. Sundays. There will be no performances July 1-3 for the Independence Day weekend.
In addition to staging plays, the Ruskin Group Theatre, which was founded in 2002, does extensive outreach, teaching and performing in correctional facilities, boys’ homes and nursing homes throughout Southern California. In addition, the theater does monthly “Café Plays,” a collection of five one-acts that are written in the morning and performed the same evening.
