A New Bazaar Is Coming to Town:

LuLi Soy Candle Company owners Lucie Doughty and Lisa Botts are launching a new outdoor market, the 1st Sunday Bazaar, at which local artisans will display their works.

The inaugural 1st Sunday Bazaar will be held from from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, September 4, and the market will be held on the first Sunday of every subsequent month, in the parking lot of Olympic High School at Ocean Park and Lincoln Boulevards (entrance on Pine at Lincoln).

Over 50 vendors will sell their own distinctive crafts, including, but not limited to, silkscreened paintings, handbags, clothing, stained glassware, hand-made jewelry, candles and soaps. According to Doughty and Botts, “underground hipsters, art freaks, rock kids, and moms and dads” will all find things they like.

There will be free balloons for children, water bowls for family dogs, food vendors, and the Nikhil Korula Band will perform from 1 to 3 p.m.

Half of every $2 admission will be donated directly to Olympic High School.For more information, call the hotline: (310) 772-8299.
