AMERICAN TRAGEDY:

Last Wednesday night, over 1,600 vigils, including three in Santa Monica, were held across the country in support of Cindy Sheehan’s vigil outside President Bush’s Crawford, Texas ranch in memory of her soldier son who was killed in Iraq. (center) Vigil at Saint Monica’s statue on Ocean Avenue, and (bottom) vigil at the Third Street Promenade. The third local vigil was held in Clover Park.
