Chrysalis, SM Place form Working Partnership:

Representatives of Chrysalis and the Macerich Company gathered at the Fourth Street entrance to  Santa Monica Place last Thursday to announce a working partnership in which Santa  Monica Place will “test” Chrysalis’s  StreetWorks with a contract to provide cleaning services throughout the mall.

Streetworks, a professional work program, will  sweep and pressure wash the mall’s garages and parking structures, giving workers marketable experience and job skills.

Los Angeles City Councilman Bill Rosendahl, Adlai Wertman, President and CEO of Chrysalis, and Chris Facas, Vice President, Property Management, Macerich, spoke at the gathering, and Heidi Olinger and Leo Young, Chrysalis workers, demonstrated the machines.Over 2,200 men and women are currently taking part in Chrysalis programs. 14 percent of them are veterans.
