UCLA Students Get Break on Metro Fares:

Last week, UCLA and Metro kicked off the university’s new “Go Metro!” Transit Pass Program that enables UCLA students to ride on the entire Metro Bus and Rail System throughout the academic year for half the cost of full fare.

Held in conjunction with the university’s annual Rideshare Week Transportation Fair, one of the county’s largest, marks the first time a major university campus has offered such a transit pass program to its students, staff, and faculty.Jack Powazek, Assistant Vice-Chancellor, UCLA, John Catoe, Deputy CEO, Metro, and Renee Fortier, Transportation Services Director, UCLA Transportation Services, introduced the new service at Bruin Plaza on the UCLA campus.
