Pier Parking Deck Is Closed Until 12/16:

The Santa Monica Pier parking deck was closed Monday, November 7, and will remain closed through December 16, as work goes forward on Phase 2 in a series of capital projects that are intended to strengthen the 95-year old structure

Pier businesses will remain open and public events will continue to be held during the construction, and additional parking will be available in the 1550 PCH Lot north of the Pier and the Hot Dog on a Stick lot, a short-term parking lot southeast of the Pier off Appian Way.The latter will remain open until midnight through December 16. Parking there is $1 per hour. In the 1550 lot, it’s $6 on weekends and $5 on weekdays. New signage and City traffic safety officers will direct visitors to other nearby parking lots, such as the lot at 2030 Barnard Way.
