The Santa Monica College Theatre Arts Department will feature Emmy-winning actor Gregg Marx in master class called “The Art & Business of Voiceovers” on Thursday, December 8. Free and open to the public, it is scheduled for 7 p.m. in the Hangar Stage at SMC’s Airport Campus, 2800 Airport Avenue. Seating is on a first-arrival basis. With a distinctive voice, Marx has done hundreds of radio and television commercials. He also performs frequently in Los Angeles’ top cabaret clubs, and has done his own shows, “Wet Night. . . Dry Martini. Love: Shakin’. . . Stirred. . . and “On the Rocks.” Currently, he and his troupe perform weekly at Maggiano’s Little Italy at The Grove in Los Angeles.This is the third and final in SMC’s fall Theatre Arts Master Class series, which is co-sponsored by the SMC Associates, a private organization that funds speakers and special programs on campus.
