2006 Came in With A Roar:

The unusually high surf of the past several weeks was matched by rainstorms and high winds over the weekend that stripped loose fronds from the palm trees on Ocean Avenue, littering the street, and knocked branches off trees in other parts of the city. Owing to the long holiday weekend, it took city crews some time to clean up the debris. Shown here: Ocean Avenue  at Arizona on Monday.
