Sharon Lawrence and Nicholas Gonzalez star in Dialectics of the Heart, which will have its world premiere Friday at the Edgemar Center for the Arts.
Written by Dale Griffiths Stamos and directed by Allison Vail Fisher, the play turns on a philosophy professor’s love affair with a graduate student.
Professor Elizabeth Drewer (Sharon Lawrence) teaches and lives by principles of Plato and Descartes, until graduate student Richard Amado (Nicholas Gonzalez) arrives with a whole new take on philosophy and turns her orderly life upside down.
Also appearing are Carlease Burke, Anne Marie Howard, Peter Husmann and Joel Polis.
The play, presented by Venice Sky Productions, will run through February 26, on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
