SAMOHI ROP Students Recognized for Achievements:

Students from SAMOHI’s ROP (Regional Occupational Program) were recognized for their achievements at the SMMUSD School Board meeting held at Barnum Hall.  (l-r) Christianna Triolo, senior, Outstanding Student LA County ROP District Winner in Creative Arts (Commercial Photo Class); Jenny Chuan, junior, 1st place DECA State Championship (Marketing Essentials Class); Marvin Mendez, sophomore, 3rd place DECA State Championship (Marketing Essentials Class); and SAGE Team Members, National Champions (Small Business/Project ECHO Class, a year-long course that teaches students how to run their own businesses) seniors Doug Monroy, Anthony Campbell, Sabrina Marin and Elizabeth Munoz, who will represent the United States in the international competition to be held in Shanghai, China, on Aug. 2-3.                              photo by Margaret Molloy
