A Message From the Historical Society:

The Santa Monica Historical Society Museum has launched a $5 million capital campaign for the build-out of its new 5,000 square foot state-of-the-art museum and to provide an endowment to sustain programming, historical preservation and day-to-day operations. The museum will be located on the Santa Monica Main Library campus.

Campaign co-chairs Bob Gabriel and Jean McNeil Wyner announced that Joe Regalbuto, television and film actor, longtime Santa Monica resident and strong supporter of the museum, is Honorary Spokesperson for the campaign.

The museum’s board of directors has established a permanent Wall of Legacy in the new museum to recognize contributors.

“Santa Monica is 131 years old this year; the museum is where its rich history comes alive,” said Louise Gabriel, President/CEO of the museum. “We are appealing to the city’s residents and business owners for support to the campaign which will ensure that Santa Monica’s history is preserved for future generations to learn from, appreciate and enjoy.” The board anticipates visitors to the new museum from around the country and the world.

To contribute to the campaign, or for more information, call 310.395.2290 or go to www.santamonicahistory.org.
