Warren Beatty and his wife Annette Bening were recipients of the 2006 Caritas Award for their “spirit of charity, compassion and commitment to others.” Also honored was philanthropist Flora Laney Thornton, cited for her extraordinary service and dedication as a Trustee of Saint John’s Health Center Foundation, as well as for her significant contributions to the cultural and educational institutions of our community.
The Saint John’s Health Center Caritas Gala, held at the Regent Beverly Wilshire, was co-hosted by the Irene Dunne Guild and Saint John’s Health Center Foundation with proceeds of the evening to be used to support essential services and programs at Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica.
