New Zealand installation artist Mike Mizrahi built a giant silver fern sand sculpture, New Zealand’s national emblem, on the beach in Santa Monica on Monday, February 5, to celebrate New Zealand’s unofficial National Day, Waitangi Day. Television crews were on hand to film the event and it was broadcast live in New Zealand.
