Whale of a Weekend:

Heal the Bay’s Santa Monica Pier Aquarium held its annual “Whale of a Weekend” on February 10 and 11, celebrating the annual migration of the Pacific gray whale. A host of whale-related activities took place both days at the Aquarium, located under the carousel at the Santa Monica Pier. A whale watching station was set up at the western end of the Pier. Rudy Grisalva, 10, of Los Angeles, touched creatures he had never seen before, including this eel.
