Vanessa Sautebin, a sophomore at Santa Monica College, has been named a statewide Community College Student Athlete of the Month for April.
Sautebin won three events within 60 minutes of each other at the Western State Conference track and field meet – the 100 meters, the 100-meter hurdles and the 400-meter hurdles.
As a freshman at SMC a year ago, Sautebin finished third in the state 100-meter hurdles.
The SMC women’s track coach is Eric Barron.
