Venice Fest, celebrating the return of the Venice sign, was held on Windward Avenue between Pacific Avenue and the boardwalk on Sunday, June 24. The new Venice trestle sign, a recreation of the historic one that hung in the same location from 1905 until the mid-20th century, was lit at dusk, with a huge crowd gathered for the occasion.
