Pedestrian Fatality:

An 80-year-old woman was struck in an unmarked crosswalk while crossing Colorado Avenue at 16th Street on Saturday, December 1. Police responded at 4:08 p.m. to the call of traffic accident with injury. The victim was taken to a local hospital where she died of her injuries.

The driver – a 94-year-old woman in a 1957 Ford Thunderbird – was not injured. She voluntarily submitted to a blood test, the results of which are not yet known.
