SMC Men Split Two Games:

The Santa Monica College men’s basketball team lost to College of the Canyons, 76-73, and defeated West Los Angeles College, 71-59, to conclude its regular season schedule.

 Noah Gottlieb, returning to the point guard position he played last season before being moved to off-guard most of this season, scored 26 points and had eight assists in both games.

 SMC hoped to gain a berth in the state tournament despite floundering in Western State Conference games because it did well in early season non-conference play. No decision had been made at press time.
