A touring musician and teacher, Jorma Kaukonen is renowned for his skillful work with American roots music. A founding member of Jefferson Airplane, Kaukonen helped usher in the psychedelic sound of the 1960s, even though his background was in folk and blues. He left the band after several years to form Hot Tuna. Today, Kaukonen continues to tour with Hot Tuna, releases solo work, and runs a guitar camp in Ohio. While the 7 p.m. show has already sold out, at press time tickets were still available for the 9 p.m. performance.
