Bulletin:

The most successful season in the history of Crossroads girls’ basketball came to an end Tuesday night in a 67-27 loss to La Jolla Country Day High.

The Roadrunners won their first CIF championship in school history Friday in Long Beach, then defeated Exeter High of Fresno Monday night in the Crossroads gym, 51-41, in a state tournament playoff game.

However, their next opponent was a highly skilled team that competed in a higher division all season. Since there was no Division 5 on the state level, Crossroads had to move up to Division 4.The team went to La Jolla by bus Tuesday for its third game in four days. The loss ended the season for Coach Kevin Cormier’s squad with a 21-8 record.
