Michael W. Folonis, FAIA, Recieves Two Westside Prize Honor Awards.:

The Westside Urban Forum honored two projects designed by Santa Monica architect Michael W. Folonis, at its annual awards celebration this summer. The 7th Street Project, a mixed-use development planned for the west side of 7th Street between Santa Monica Boulevard and Broadway in Santa Monica, won an honor award in the Urban Infill category. The Ocean Park Housing Project, which is completed and located on the northeast corner of Ocean Park Boulevard and Second Street, also in Santa Monica, received an honorable mention.

The work of Michael Folonis has been published nationally and internationally, and is recognized for carrying on the rich legacy of modernist exploration within the Southern California region. His firm, Michael W. Folonis, FAIA and Associates, was founded in 1983 and celebrates 25 years of design excellence this year.
