A whimsical collection of colorful, beaded creatures, ranging in price from $1,500 – $2,650, “grazed” for two days in between clothes at Savannah on Montana Avenue. Handcrafted by refugees from Zimbabwe now residing in South Africa, the beautifully crafted animals, which include elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, lions, zebras, and turtles, were imported under the auspices of the Simunye Trust. The organization sends the net sale proceeds directly to The Children’s Hospital Trust of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Capetown, South Africa, the only pediatric hospital in Sub-Saharan Africa. For more information call Isobel Estorick, 310.395.2805, or visit simunyetrust.org.
